The Tradewinds at Carmel Appoints
New General Manager
Carmel, CA – 22 September
2005 – The
Tradewinds at Carmel, the luxury boutique
hotel in Carmel, CA, recently featured
in Architectural Digest, announced
the appointment of Yuriko Weathers
as its new General Manager.
”Yuriko’s knowledge, experience, and own personal style are a perfect
match for the intimate ambiance of The Tradewinds at Carmel,” says Susan
Stilwell, co-owner of The Tradewinds at Carmel, and daughter of founders Dick
and Patricia Catlin. “She has a personal warmth and grace
that will make our guests feel even more at home during their visits here.”
Weathers commented: “The
Tradewinds is such a jewel in Carmel,
I feel fortunate to have been asked to
be part of the team. The recent
spectacular renovation has brought the
design and physical characteristics of
The Tradewinds to the highest levels. My
focus will be to ensure that the service
levels match the unparalleled beauty
and charm of the property. I am
delighted to have that honor.”
Weathers past positions include serving
as Vice President of Retail for the Pebble
Beach Company, where she was responsible
for 14 retail outlets and directed merchandising
for all corporate, web site, event, and
tournament sales. She had the pleasure
of being a part of 3 US Opens held at
Pebble Beach and was a member of the
Pebble Beach executive committee. Ms.
Weathers has also held management positions
with Ann Taylor and Doubletree Hotels.
